Brush Fire Breaks Out Along Interstate 10 In Banning

The California Highway Patrol reported that a freeway lane closure was requested by the fire department.

BANNING, CA — A vegetation fire burning alongside eastbound Interstate 10 in Banning was forcing a temporary lane closure Tuesday night.

The blaze was reported shortly after 6 p.m. west of the Hargrave Street exit.

According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokesperson Rob Roseen, the blaze was burning brush and refuse.
