Casino Morongo Reopens Original Gaming Facility

The refurbished Casino Morongo is now back in action across the parking lot from the newer, 27-story Morongo, Casino Resort & Spa.

CABAZON, CA — Proving that you can always go home again, the original Casino Morongo reopened on Saturday to offer slots, bingo, bowling, food and fun in a beautifully redecorated and fully renovated venue.

Located across the parking lot from the 27-story Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa, the refurbished Casino Morongo offers 300 state-of-art and classic slot machines sprinkled across a 10,000-square-foot gaming floor. Guests can enjoy playing bar-side video poker while cheering on their favorite team as the biggest sports matchups play on one of 30 big screen TVs.

Already home to a 400-seat Bingo Hall and the 24-alley Canyon Lanes Bowling, the exciting changes to Casino Morongo include a refurbished bar/lounge area and dining at the new sleek and stylish Pit Stop Diner, which offers mouthwatering American classics for breakfast, lunch and dinner 24 hours per day.

The original Casino Morongo first opened in May 1995 as one of the first significant tribal casinos in the state. Following the construction of the 27-story Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa in 2004, the facility has been the home for bingo, bowling and special events.

“Today marks a major milestone for Morongo as, for the first time ever, our tribe will be operating two separate gaming facilities,” said Morongo Tribal Chairman Robert Martin. “We’ve come a long way since the days of the modest tribal bingo hall we operated in the 1980s, and we’re proud to be adding to the thousands of local jobs and billions of dollars in economic activity we generate for the region.”
