CAST Players to Open New Show
The company's production of "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" opens on Sept. 14.
The CAST Players will open its production of "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" on Sept. 14.
The show, directed by Mia Mercado-Bennett, is based on Robert Fulghum's best selling book. Mercado-Bennett also directed last season's "I love You, You're Perfect, Now Change," for which she earned an awards nomination from the Inland Theater League, according to a statement.
The musical stars local actors Randy and Hilary Peters, Sheldon Craig, Casey Williams, Tom Newman and Teresa Dolan.
"This funny and touching play has transported audiences from laughter to tears and back again through stories that reflect the truth in everyday life: a shy little boy who insists on playing the “pig” in his class production of Cinderella and steals the show, a man whose dream of flying carries him high over Los Angeles in a lawn chair and the small deaf boy who wants to rake leaves," CAST Players stated in a press release. "Fulghum’s wise and witty tales about ordinary life remind us that within simplicity lies the sublime."
Performances take place at 7:30 on Sept. 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29. Sunday matinees will take place at 3 p.m. Sept. 16, 23 and 30. All will be at the Beaumont Women's Community Center, 306 E. Sixth St.
Tickets are $12 and can be purchased online at www.castplayers.org or by calling 951-315-4253.
