CASTING CALL: Living Desert Hiring Performers For Upcoming Stage Show

Responsibilities include memorizing and delivering scripts and dialogues, and improvising with the public when needed.

The Living Desert is hiring cast members for an upcoming stage show, the zoo announced Thursday.

The ā€œguest experience specialistsā€ will perform in the show, which starts in fall, and some will serve as costumed characters in the outdoor amphitheater and at events. The deadline to apply is Aug. 31, or until positions are filled, according to zoo spokeswoman Rebecca Brown.

Responsibilities of this position include performing as a costumed character, memorizing and delivering scripts and dialogues, and improvising with the public when applicable. High energy and excellent guest service skills are required. The selected applicants are expected to facilitate a positive guest experience by providing excellent internal and external guest service and represent The Living Desert at the highest standards of professionalism.
