Clean Out Closets, Have A Burger With Beaumont Girls Basketball on Aug. 6

Donating to your local high school team has never been so easy. Or so yummy.

On Saturday, Aug. 6, Beaumont High’s girls basketball players will host a fundraiser at their school for the upcoming season. Teaming up with Goodwill and In-N-Out Burger, the Cougars are hosting a lunch and drop off spot for donations of household items and other goods.

First, clean out your closets and garages and get rid of any unwanted or gently used items. From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Goodwill will be collecting donated items. You will be issued a donation receipt from Goodwill for end-of-year tax purposes.

If you are having a yard sale in the next few weeks and have items remaining at the end of the day, team members will pick up the items and hold them until the day of the event.

Beaumont High is located at 39139 Cherry Valley Blvd. Donations can be dropped off at the top parking lot on campus.

The top lot is also where In-N-Out will have a mobile kitchen set up to prepare burgers fresh on-site, fundraiser organizer Amy Pippenger said in a phone interview.

Between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., In-N-Out workers will be flippin’ burgers and extras to buy. Pre-sale tickets are available from any of the coaching staff or team members.
