Computer Problem Takes Hemet DMV Out of Commission
Two days after a massive computer outage that impacted the entire state, some offices continue to remain offline.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA – Five Department of Motor Vehicles offices in Riverside County were among dozens across the state that remained out of commission Wednesday due to a continuing computer problem, but authorities said offices are expected to come back online throughout the day.
Offices in Temecula, Hemet, Indio, Palm Desert and Norco were affected by the outage, which DMV officials said occurred Monday.
Affected offices are still able to provide driving tests, help customers with paperwork, answer questions and reschedule appointments. The department noted that its website was not affected, so online services remain available.
