Coronavirus Temporarily Closes Beaumont Starbucks

The 2nd Street location is slated to reopen Saturday after an employee at the store tested positive for the virus.

BEAUMONT, CA — A positive coronavirus test for an employee at a Beaumont Starbucks forced a temporary closure of the store, but the location is slated to reopen Saturday, a company official confirmed.

"We recently learned that one of our partners at the store received a positive diagnosis for COVID-19," and the employee and those who were in close contact with the person have been self-isolating at home, said Jory Mendes, a Starbucks spokesperson.

The store is located at 1610 E 2nd Street Market Place.

"As soon as we learned of the diagnosis, we quickly activated our protocols following all recommended guidelines from public health authorities, closing the store to initiate a deep clean. Due to staffing limitations, the store remains temporarily closed but is scheduled to reopen this coming Saturday, 12/19," Mendes said.

Information about the condition of the employee was not available.
