BANNING, CA — On Valentine's Day, 2022, Patch asked readers over Facebook who had the most romantic love story of all. Banning and Beaumont readers responded with several sweet and romantic stories that made us swoon.

Then, there were a few that made us laugh out loud with the stories of love found at some of the area's favorite dive bars.

Francesca and Michael Urban found their true romance after a terrible workday.

She worked at a Banning restaurant and after an awful shift agreed to go out with server friends. They decided to shake off the day at an area dive bar.

A "really tall and handsome bouncer" was carding people at the door.

He asked for Francesca for some ID, but as the luck of the day would have it she only had her bank card in her back pocket.

The bouncer refused entry. Francesca was left at the door while her friends went inside for drinks.

Francesca "got annoyed," she wrote.

Though her ID was just a few short feet away, she refused to walk across the long lonely parking lot to fetch her ID from her purse.

"It had been a rough night at work, and (I) wasn't in the mood for any more nonsensical shenanigans,"
she wrote.

After a few moments of exchange between the waitress and the bouncer, the bartender appeared at the door.

He vouched for Francesca, allowing entrance.

By then, the bouncer, Michael Urban, was intrigued by the feisty waitress. A mere three hours later Michael and Francesca were already making plans.

The rest is history.

"My husband still laughs at us and loves telling his version of this 'Story of Us' almost 16-years later."

We love your love story! and yes, we do want to hear Michael's side.

Short And Sweet, Love Right Away And Here To Stay

Angela Baltazar tells us their sweet, love story over Facebook.

"We met in Kindergarten, 1984," she wrote. "We Married in 2004. Still happily married today."
