BANNING, CA — Schools across the Banning Unified School District marked an important milestone this week as students and staff celebrated the 100th Day of School by dressing up as centenarians.

"The day served as a joyful reflection on 100 days of learning, growth, and progress, while reinforcing the District’s commitment to student engagement and academic development," a school spokesperson told Patch.

The kids' faces were lined with makeup, silver sprayed on hair, sported silver eyebrows and beards, and some even brought canes and walkers. Argyle and suspenders were the wardrobe choices, as were granny glasses and robes and pajamas.
