Did You Feel the Earthquake?

It was centered in Big Bear Lake, but was strong enough to be widely felt.

A shallow earthquake shook the Big Bear area this morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The temblor struck with a magnitude of 3.6 at 6:55 a.m. at a depth of 3.1 miles, its epicenter 2 miles south of Big Bear Lake, according to a computer-generated report from the USGS.

Residents from the mountains, through the Inland Empire and all the way to Oceanside report feeling the earth shake.
