Dollar General Opening in Banning

The store is one of the first in the chain to open in California. 

A grand opening celebration for Banning’s new Dollar General store is set for Saturday, July 28 at 8 a.m.

Visitors to the store at 1323 W. Ramsey Street will receive free samples and special deals, and the first 300 shoppers will get a tote bag filled with coupons and small items.

"Dollar General is proud to be opening one of our first California stores in Banning," said Saul Mejia, Dollar General district manager, in a statement. "We look forward to serving customers here with a superior shopping experience that encompasses convenience, value and customer service."

Dollar General is based in Goodlettsville, Tenn., and stocks its shelves with a wide variety of products, from cleaning supplies to baby essentials to select groceries. Dollar General sells private label brands, in addition to Nabisco, Tide, Bounty, Coke, and other national brands.

According to the company, the Banning store will employ 10 people.
