Earthquake Shakes Coachella Valley, Pass Area

CABAZON, CA — An earthquake rattled the Coachella Valley and San Gorgonio Pass Area Tuesday but there were no immediate reports of injuries or serious damage.

The magnitude 3.3 temblor struck at 5:53 p.m. and was centered less than a mile northeast of Cabazon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was felt as far away as Murrieta, the USGS reported.
