Enrollment Remains Open for British Soccer Camp at Beaumont Sports Park

A week-long Challenger British Soccer Camp started Monday in Beaumont, and enrollment remained open Tuesday, an organizer said.

The camp has daily sessions through July 1 for children ages 3 to 16 at Beaumont Sports Park, 1692 Beaumont Ave.

- First Kicks is for ages 3 to 4, with sessions from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Cost for the full week was listed as $78.

- Mini Soccer is for ages 4 to 5, with sessions from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Cost for the full week was listed as $102.

- Half-Day Developmental is for ages 6 to 10. Sessions are 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. or 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cost for the full week was listed as $122.

- Half-Day Advanced is for ages 11 to 16. Sessions are 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. or 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cost for the full week was listed as $122.

- Two-A-Day is for ages 8 to 16, and includes both sessions, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Cost for the full week was listed as $172.

Camp fees include a soccer ball, T-shirt, evaluation and poster.

Anyone who wants to register late may do so at Beaumont Sports Park, camp official James Gilligan said in a phone interview. Late registrants should arrive Tuesday before the session they want to join, Gilligan said.

Camp staff are "from all over the UK," Gilligan said. England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland make up the United Kingdom.
