CAST Players of Beaumont is holding auditions for the Ken
Ludwig play “Lend Me A Tenor”, to be directed by Howard Glenn-Rawley.
Through a hilarious series of mishaps, world famous tenor Tito Morelli (known as Il Stupendo), is given a double dose of tranquilizers. Believing he is dead, his assistant Max, an aspiring singer, takes his place onstage in the role of Otello. But Morelli comes to and gets into his other costume. Now two Otellos are running around and two women are running around in lingerie, each thinking she is with Il Stupendo! A hilarious farce that left audiences teary-eyed with laughter.
Auditions will be held at the Beaumont Womens Community Center Tuesday, August 14 and Thursday August 16 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The theater is located at 306 E. Sixth St. at the corner of Sixth and Euclid. Actors should be prepared to read from the script and bring a current photo and resume.
