Evacuation Orders, Warnings Of Mud Flow In San Bernadino County

Oak Glen, Forest Falls, Mountain Home Village, Angelus Oaks, and Northeast Yucaipa are now subject to an evacuation order.

Yucaipa, CA – Due to potential mud and debris flow in the El Dorado and Apple fire burn scars, evacuation orders have been issued for several San Bernadino County communities, according to Yucaipa police.

Oak Glen, Forest Falls, Mountain Home Village, Angelus Oaks, and Northeast Yucaipa are now subject to evacuation orders, the Yucaipa Police Department said.

California Department’s District 8, which covers Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, announced “widespread issues” around the San Bernardino Mountains.

Local road closures are being announced and updated by Caltrans District 8.

As previously reported, in September a missing woman was found dead and buried beneath several feet of mud and debris in Southern California, authorities said.

The woman, identified as Doris Jagiello, went missing after thunderstorms triggered mudslides and flash flooding throughout the San Bernardino Mountains, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.

The storm sent people fleeing from their homes as mudslides buried structures and affected nearly 3,000 homes.
