Farewell From Beaumont High's Class Of 2020: Photo Of the Day
For Beaumont High School seniors, graduating in the age of the coronavirus will be unlike anything they've ever imagined.

BEAUMONT, CA—For graduating seniors all across the country, the coronavirus has completely changed how they are celebrating one of the biggest milestones in their lives—graduation.
Some graduation ceremonies nationwide have been held virtually. Others have been pushed back to a later date. At Beaumont High School, faculty and staff are determined to do their best to honor the Class of 2020 with the help of a little creativity.
The graduation ceremony for Beaumont High School is scheduled to take place at 9 a.m. on June 4, and it will be unlike any graduation the school has ever held before. Rather than "Pomp and Circumstance" and a procession of students walking to the stage in cap and gap, this year's ceremony will be drive-thru only. While this won't be a traditional ceremony, school officials said they plan to make it as fun and as memorable as possible.

"We encourage you to decorate your vehicle and show off your school spirit and pride," Beaumont High School Principal Jesús A. Jiménez said in a letter to students and parents this week. "Be sure to share photos of yourself on social media using the hashtag #Classof2020 so we can showcase you. We are very excited to see the Class of 2020 and we can't wait to celebrate with you!"
Bottom line, the show will go on for Beaumont High School graduating seniors—just not as most students would have liked or expected.

In our latest photo of the day submitted by Nicole Holley, a graduating senior says "farewell" to his old school but "hello" to new beginnings.
The coronavirus may have changed how he and other students finished out the school year; however, it won't stop them from moving on to even bigger and better things and celebrating their accomplishments.
If you have an awesome photo of nature, breath-taking scenery, kids caught being kids, a pet doing something funny or something unusual you happen to catch with your camera, we'd love to feature it on Patch.
