Coroner IDs Motorcyclist Killed In Potrero Boulevard Crash
Beaumont police closed both sides of the roadway for several hours in order to conduct the crash investigation.

BEAUMONT, CA — The motorcyclist killed Monday afternoon in a crash on Potrero Boulevard has been identified as a Yucaipa man.
Alejandro Mejia, 29, died at the intersection of Potrero Boulevard and Four Seasons Boulevard at 12:50 p.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau. Witnesses attempted to revive him before first responders arrived, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries, the Beaumont Police Department reported.
The two-vehicle wreck also involved a pickup truck driver and drugs and/or alcohol were probably not contributors, according to Beaumont police.

"Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor," the Beaumont Police Department said.
The truck driver remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Further crash details were not released.
Beaumont police closed both sides of Potrero Boulevard between Seneca Springs Boulevard and Highland Springs Avenue during the crash investigation. The roadway was reopened at 4:15 p.m.
