Coroner IDs Man Killed In Ramona Expressway Crash

LAKEVIEW, CA — A two-vehicle traffic crash in the Lakeview area Monday left one person dead and another person injured, authorities said.

The crash was reported at about 6:30 a.m. on the Ramona Expressway just east of First Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Victor Basturto-Sandoval, 25, of San Jacinto died at the crash scene, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.

Another person suffered moderate injuries, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation. The roadway reopened after 9:45 a.m., CHP reported.
