Gala Event to Honor Former Cabazon Tribe Chairman
This year's Leonard K. Firestone Award of Merit recipient is former Cabazon Band of Mission Indians Chairman and Tribal Elder Joe Benitez.
INDIO, CA- Indio's ABC Recovery Center will honor a local former tribal chairman at its 18th annual Firestone Awards Gala tonight.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Fantasy Springs Casino Resort in Indio, located at 84245 Indio Springs Drive.

The event will also feature an art show, silent auction, reception, dinner and a live performance by Gary Mule Deer, who will showcase his unique blend of comedy and music.
The gala supports the Recovery Center's Perinatal Program, in addition to other ABC programs.
