Gas Prices Near Banning, Beaumont Are The Most Expensive They've Been In 2 Years: AAA

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is at its highest amount since September 2015, according to new data.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose for the 10th time in the past 11 days Tuesday, increasing 1.1 cents to $3.086. The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is at its highest amount since September 2015, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

It is 12.6 cents more than one week ago, 17.6 cents higher than one month ago and 41.7 cents more than one year ago.

The average price has risen 14.3 cents over the past 11 days, including 1 cent on Monday.

The rising prices are the result of disruption to "the entire supply chain" caused by Hurricane Harvey even though "California's gasoline and oil supplies do not come from the Gulf Coast," said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.+
