Teen Hit By Cargo Van In Beaumont, Critical Injuries Reported
The crash was reported near the Sundance community.

BEAUMONT, CA — An investigation continues after a cargo van struck and critically injured a 13-year-old girl as she rode her bike early Monday in Beaumont, police said Tuesday.
The girl was hit around 6:15 a.m. in the area of 6th Street and Xenia Avenue, according to the Beaumont Police Department.
Several people saw the crash and called 911, while Good Samaritans rushed to help the injured Beaumont girl until Cal Fire/Riverside County Firefighter medics arrived, Beaumont Police Spokesperson Marcedes Cashmer said.

AMR paramedics took her to an area hospital, but the girl’s condition was not known as of Tuesday morning.
The 19-year-old who was driving the cargo van stayed at the crash scene and cooperated with the police, Cashmer said. He was not arrested and investigators do not suspect alcohol or drug use.
