Have Something to Say? Blog on Patch

Blogging on Patch is an easy way to let the community know what you're up to. You can also post on behalf of an organization, school or community group.

With a Patch blog, it’s easy to keep your neighbors in the loop, share your opinion or start a discussion.

With the implementation of our redesign, Patch blogs are now automatically featured front-and-center on the Banning-Beaumont Patch homepage. When you post, right away the community can read about your school’s online auction, your thoughts on the new downtown parking lot design, or the cats that are available for adoption at the shelter. The topics are endless!

What do you want to share with your community? After you post, you can let people know about your blog post using Facebook, Twitter or email. And we’ll let Pass residents know about your post by sending a link to our readers in Banning-Beaumont Patch's daily email newsletter.

What's more, the posts of our most popular, active bloggers will be featured in the “Who’s Blogging” box! (seen at towards the bottom of the home page)

Some other Patch blog features: bloggers can now edit their own posts and moderate their own comments. (“Moderate” just means you can immediately delete comments that make personal attacks or use foul language.)

Okay, you ready?

On the homepage, scroll down to the featured bloggers section and click ‘start a blog.  Give your blog a name, a description and then type what you want in the body. Choose a blog icon from the icons available, or upload your own photo. Then click ‘create your blog.’

A couple hints to make your blog 'be all that it can be': 1) Upload a photo, even if it's just a logo or a graphic, posts with an image attached do better than those that lack one.  2)  Please DON'T USE ALL CAPS (feels like I'm screaming at you, right?)

Thanks for reading, and hope to see your blog soon!
