Heat Advisory Issued For Banning, Beaumont

Did you really think we could get through spring 2020 without a little heat wave?

SAN GORGONIO PASS, CA — The first heat advisory of 2020 has been issued for the San Gorgonio Pass Area by the National Weather Service.

The advisory takes effect at 11 a.m. Friday and will last through 6 p.m. Saturday as hot temperatures and sunny skies are forecast for the region.

Daytime highs will reach the high to low 90s Friday and Saturday in the San Gorgonio Pass Area cities of Banning and Beaumont, according to the NWS.

Friday's overnight low will dip to the low 60s.

A slight cooling trend will begin Sunday. Daytime highs are forecast to reach the mid 80s for much of next week.

Temperatures will meet or exceed the century mark across the Coachella Valley over the next several days, with the hottest day coming Saturday when the mercury will rise to 104.
