Holcomb Fire Grows To 850 Acres
BREAKING: Several road closures are in effect as a result of the fire. #HolcombFire
SAN BERNARDINO, CA — A large wild fire burning near Big Bear has grown to almost a thousand acres since 3 p.m. Monday. Reports of the fire came in at 3 p.m., according to fire officials. Several roads have been closed as a result of the fire including Van Dusen Road, Holcomb Valley Road East is closed at Highway 18. Area hiking trails have been closed. Doble Trail Campground and Tanglewood Group Campground are also closed.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department, Cal Fire, Baldwin Lake Fire Department and the Big Bear Fire Authority are assisting the U.S. Forest Service with the firefighting efforts.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No other information is currently available.
