Holcomb Fire Grows: Smoke Advisory Issued To High Desert
BREAKING: The wildfire has grown to 950 acres. Several road closures are in effect. #HolcombFire
SAN BERNARDINO, CA — A smoke advisory has been issued for the high desert due to a large wildfire burning near Big Bear in the San Bernardino Mountains. Reports of the fire, which has grown to 950 acres and is about 10 percent contained, came in at 3 p.m. Monday, according to fire officials.
Several roads have been closed as a result of the fire including Van Dusen Road, Holcomb Valley Road East is closed at Highway 18. Area hiking trails have been closed since Monday. Doble Trail Campground and Tanglewood Group Campground are also closed. No evacuations have been issued.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department, Cal Fire, Baldwin Lake Fire Department and the Big Bear Fire Authority are assisting the U.S. Forest Service with the firefighting efforts.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No other information is currently available.
