I-215 Fatal Crash Stalls IE Traffic Tuesday Morning
Traffic returned to normal on the I-215 at the 210 freeway following a crash between a small vehicle and a semi-truck.
SAN BERNARDINO, CA — One person was killed Tuesday morning after a sedan struck a semi truck on the eastbound 210 Freeway in San Bernardino, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Shortly before 5:45 a.m., a 911 caller reported that a red Hyundai Sonata collided with the back of a white Semi Truck on the eastbound 210 Freeway, just east of the I-215 interchange, CHP dispatch shared.
Both vehicles ended up on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway.

"The reporting party told dispatch operators that someone in the Sonata was injured," CHP dispatch shared. Roughly 15 minutes later, the San Bernardino County Coroner's office was called ot the scene.
Tow trucks and the coroner arrived between 7:15 and 8:15 a.m., according to CHP. The #3 lane of the freeway was shut down for about an hour during the incident.
