It's 'Miss Beaumont' Time! 2018 Applications Launched

Do you or someone you know want to represent Beaumont as its next queen?

BEAUMONT, CA — Beaumont is looking for its next queen. The annual Miss Beaumont pageant is nearing and the application process is officially underway for the 2018 contest.

For those interested in applying, a mandatory orientation meeting is slated for April 10 at 5:30 p.m. at the Albert A. Chatigny Sr. Community Recreation Center. That's located at 1310 Oak Valley Parkway.

Contestants must be between 14 and 18 years old and either live in Beaumont or attend a Beaumont Unified school. They must also have "... good moral character, and have never been pregnant or married," the application form states.

"You will be judged on personality, poise, overall appearance, physical fitness," according to the application. "Areas of competition include: Interview (business), street wear, and evening gowns."

FORMER QUEENS SOUGHT

The city is also recruiting all past Miss Beaumonts or Cherry Queens for a special part in this year's Cherry Festival Parade.

"In honor of the Cherry Festival’s 100th Anniversary, all past queens are invited to ride in the annual parade on Saturday, June 2nd and be presented during the festival," according to the city.
