Massive Power Outage Hits Hemet: 10,000 Without Electricity
The cause of the outage is under investigation
HEMET, CA - More than 10,000 Southern California Edison customers in the Hemet area were without electricity this morning, the utility said.
The problem was reported about 5:30 a.m. and was affecting 10,511 customers as of 9 a.m., according to SCE. The utility estimated that power would be largely restored by noon.
Crews were working to restore service. The cause of the outage was under investigation.
