Memorial Fund Established by Family of Ricky Flores for His Funeral Expenses

The family of Ricardo "Ricky" Flores, who died Tuesday, has opened an account at the Wells Fargo branch on East 6th Street in Beaumont to receive monetary donations for funeral services.
Establishment of the Ricky Flores Memorial Fund, Account# 1434229058, was announced Thursday morning by Flores' employer, the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District.

Family and friends are planning to host a fundraiser at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Grange Community Center, 10478 Beaumont Ave. in Cherry Valley.
Another fundraiser is planned at 8 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God, 1166 Beaumont Ave. in Beaumont.

Flores was marking the location of a water line on Veile Avenue when he was struck and fatally injured by a stake-bed truck at 2:44 p.m. Tuesday, investigators said. He was 24 years old.
