Moreno Valley Man Killed In Colorado River Jet-Ski Explosion
A man was killed after a jet ski exploded on a river launch ramp at River Shores Estates in San Bernardino County.
MORENO VALLEY, CA — A Moreno Valley man died when a jet ski exploded on a Colorado River launch ramp at River Shores Estates in the town of Earp, in San Bernardino County.
Witnesses told San Bernardino County sheriff's investigators that Juan Antonio Pineda-Flores, 48, was attempting to start the watercraft around 12:40 p.m. Friday when fuel and vapors inside the hull ignited.
The explosion threw Pineda-Flores off the jet ski and into the water, authorities said.

He was brought onto the shore, where medical aid was rendered, then taken to the La Paz Regional Medical Center in Parker, Arizona, where he died of his injuries, sheriff's officials said.
