Nordstrom Rack, Macy's Stores Reopen Near San Gorgonio Pass Area
As of Thursday, both retailers are open to in-store shoppers.
RIVERSIDE, CA — Following weeks of closure due to coronavirus, Nordstrom Rack stores in Riverside and Redlands reopened to customers on Thursday, and the Macy's store at Riverside's Galleria At Tyler mall is also reopen.
The reopened Nordstrom Rack stores include Nordstrom Rack Riverside Plaza, 3635 Riverside Dr., and Nordstrom Rack Mountain Grove, 27651 San Bernardino Ave., Suite 100.
"We are excited to bring our employees back to work and look forward to welcoming customers in our doors so we can continue serving them in our stores," said Karin Muskopf, Nordstrom corporate communications.

The reopened Macy's store at Galleria At Tyler is located at 1299 Galleria at Tyler.
Marc Mastronardi, Macy's chief stores officer, said, "Our teams have come together and supported each other and our communities throughout this challenging time, and we look forward to safely serving our customers whenever they are ready to shop."

Updated safety protocols aimed at preventing COVID-19 spread have been implemented, according to both companies.
At Nordstrom Rack, shoppers can expect health screenings for employees, face coverings for employees and customers, social distancing of six feet or more (including limiting the number of employees and customers in the stores), increased cleaning and sanitization, modified fitting rooms, continued curbside service, keeping tried on/returned merchandise off sales floors for a period of time, altered store hours, and adding dividers at check-out registers, according to the company
At Macy's, there will be frequent and enhanced cleaning, social distancing of at least 6 feet, hand-sanitizer stations, plexiglass at select registers, continued curbside service, daily wellness checks of employees, and face masks worn by employees, according to the company.
The stores' reopenings were based on guidance and directives from state health officials.
