One Arrest Made In San Jacinto Marijuana Raids

SAN JACINTO, CA — A Rosemead man was arrested Saturday after deputies served search warrants on four illegal residential marijuana grow operations, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Department.

Coe Hoc Phung, a 45-year-old Rosemead resident was detained at one of the grow sites and booked at Cois Byrd Detention Center. He was arrested on suspicion of running a drug house, theft of utilities, marijuana cultivation and marijuana sales.

Deputies serving the search warrant found two and a half tons of marijuana and confiscated growing gear including 80 fans, large amounts of packaging, 145 lights, 2 AV units and ballast material.

Deputies of the San Jacinto Sheriff's Station raid four residences housing 4,901 marijuana plants and 110 pounds of processed cannabis.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff Department, Southern California Edison confirmed the location of an illegal electrical bypass underneath the electrical meters of all four indoor grows.

The estimated theft of utilities is $280,000, according to officials.
