One Killed, One Injured in Plane Crash
The homemade aircraft crashed into a cell tower near Lake Matthews.

One person was killed and another was injured in a small plane crash Sunday, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to a plane crash at 12:14 p.m. at the 20300 block of Farley Avenue, off Cajalco Road, near Lake Mathews east of Corona, said Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department.

The homemade plane crashed into a cell tower and the wreckage became entangled in the structure.
One occupant of the plane died at the scene, while the other was ejected from the plane, sustaining moderate injuries, said Hagemann. The injured victim was transported to a hospital.
