Overturned Truck Scatters Debris Across 60 Freeway

A pickup truck overturned over the side of an embankment the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway near Beaumont, sending debris across several lanes.

BEAUMONT, CA — A pickup truck overturned and went off an embankment on the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway west of Beaumont Sunday, leaving items strewn across the roadway.

The crash occurred just before 7:50 a.m. on the westbound side of the freeway west of Jack Rabbit Trail, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A witness told the CHP that the truck overturned several times before landing in a ditch, though it was not immediately known if anyone was injured.

The crash caused shovels and other debris to spill from the truck, prompting a temporary lane closure while crews recovered the items and the truck.

All lanes have since reopened.
