Parolee Killed After Allegedly Pointing Gun at Sheriff's Deputies
The suspect crashed his pickup truck after a short pursuit. He then exited his vehicle and pointed a gun at deputies, authorities say.

A suspect was shot and killed after pointing a firearm at deputies in Hemet, authorities said Thursday.
The shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of West Florida and North Cawston avenues, said Riverside County sheriff’s Deputy Michael Vasquez said.
Vasquez said the suspect, a known parolee, refused to stop his vehicle when ordered by deputies and crashed his pickup truck after a short pursuit.

The suspect then exited his vehicle and pointed a firearm at deputies, at which point the shooting occurred, Vasquez said.
The unidentified suspect died at the scene, Vasquez said.
