Beaumont HS Student Hit By Car Near San Gorgonio Middle School
A minor was struck near a Beaumont school early Monday.

BEAUMONT, CA — A Beaumont High School student was struck early Monday near San Gorgonio Middle School in Beaumont, according to the Beaumont Unified School District.
Shortly after 7:45 a.m., emergency responders arrived at the Cherry Avenue at Cougar Way intersection, where the teenager was struck by a vehicle.
"The high school student was riding a scooter, along with her sister who attends the middle school, when the crash occurred," Beaumont USD spokesperson Thomas Guzowski said. "She was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution."

The teen's sister was not injured, and the parents met them at the hospital.
Principal Christopher Horton of San Gorgonio Middle School informed parents about the traffic collision at Cherry Avenue and Cougar Way on Monday morning and asked families to avoid the area.
