PSIFF Attendees Invited to Enter Travel Contests

"This is the first time that two sponsors have each staged a contest for festival-goers," said festival director Darryl Macdonald.

Two Palm Springs International Film Festival sponsors are holding travel contests for festival-goers, the event’s organizers announced Friday.

Attendees at the festival, which runs from Jan. 2 through Jan. 12, can enter to win a trip to Mexico from Alaska Airlines or a trip to the 2016 film festival from Vacation Palm Springs, which handles vacation rentals.

ā€œThis is the first time that two sponsors have each staged a contest for festival-goers,ā€ said festival director Darryl Macdonald.

The Mexico prize includes two coach-class tickets to Cabo San Lucas and a three-night stay at the Fiesta Americana Grand resort. The Vacation Palm Springs package for the 2016 festival includes four nights for up to four people at a three-bedroom rental home, four tickets to the opening and closing night screenings and receptions, and four screening passes, according to festival organizers.

ā€œWe’re excited to partner this year by offering a contest that gives an opportunity for an attendee to return for the 2016 festival and vacation like a celebrity in a private luxury vacation home,ā€said Rob Kincaid, president and CEO of Vacation Palm Springs.
