Regional transportation officials will hold a meeting Thursday to elicit public input for a proposed expansion of passenger rail service between Los Angeles and the Coachella Valley.
Thursday’s meeting, scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m., will begin with an open house, during which project staff will allow visitors to view plans for the proposed extension through the San Gorgonio Pass and into the valley.
A presentation will be made at 6 p.m., followed by more of the open house format, allowing for one-on-one discussion with members of the project team, according to officials from the Riverside County Transportation Commission.
