RivCo Could See Wind Gusts Up To 60 MPH Wednesday Night
A wind advisory is in effect for Riverside County from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday
RIVERSIDE, CA — A wind advisory was issued for Riverside County on Wednesday, which could generate winds of up to 60 miles per hour in some areas, according to the National Weather Service.
The strong winds are expected in the Riverside County mountain areas, including the San Gorgonio Pass, as well as Banning and Desert Hot Springs.
The advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday. The winds are expected to blow between 15 to 25 miles per hour on average, with gusts reaching up to 45 miles per hour. Isolated areas could see gusts of up to 60 miles per hour.

The National Weather Service said winds will blow around unsecured objects, and trees could fall resulting in power outages.
Drivers were also warned to use extra caution, especially "high profile" vehicles because the strong winds can make driving difficult.
