RivCo Man Accused Of Fatally Beating Another Man: Sheriff

Witnesses said they loaded the victim into a vehicle and drove him to the nearby hospital where he died of his injuries, authorities said.

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A 37-year-old man was arrested Wednesday morning after he was accused of beating another man to death at a house in Moreno Valley, authorities said.

Brandon Thigpen was taken into custody after 38-year-old Sean Street of Moreno Valley died at a local hospital Tuesday night, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies responded to the hospital around 2:47 p.m. on Tuesday and learned there was a confrontation at a home in the 14000 block of Big Horn Avenue involving Thigpen and Street. Thigpen allegedly used an undisclosed weapon to attack Street, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Homicide detectives took over the investigation and questioned witnesses at the house and the medical center.

Witnesses said they loaded Street into a vehicle and drove him to the nearby hospital where he died of his injuries, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Thigpen was taken into custody around 8 a.m., according to jail records.

Thigpen was booked into the Robert Presley Jail on suspicion of murder. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and no additional information was immediately available.
