RivCo Man Accused Of Killing His Wife, Injuring Himself: Police

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 37-year-old woman dead, police said.

RIVERSIDE, CA — A 45-year-old Riverside man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after he allegedly killed his wife before injuring himself, police announced on Wednesday.

Officers responded to the 10000 block of Fox Street around 5:25 p.m. on July 26 after receiving reports of two people down inside a residence, according to the Riverside Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found 37-year-old Christina Buckley dead. They also found an adult male, later identified as 45-year-old Luke Buckley, suffering from life-threatening injuries, police said.

Buckley was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.

Investigators determined Luke Buckley allegedly killed his wife and then inflicted injuries on himself, police said.

After receiving medical treatment for his injuries, Buckley was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on one count of murder. He is being held without bail, according to the Riverside Police Department.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
