SCWXA Air Quality Alert Issued For Banning Pass Locations Through Weekend

The Southern California Weather Authority has issued an Air Quality Alert effect now through the weekend ...

Inland Empire Banning Pass, San Bernardino Desert Lucerne Valley, San Bernardino Desert Morongo Valley, San Bernardino Desert Yucca Valley, San Bernardino Mountains Big Bear ...

Latest low/mid level air analysis shows that an upper level low west of the area will bring a southerly wind today, which should bring the smoke plume northward over the next few days. This northward movement will put the Morongo Basin, San Bernardino Mountains, Lucerne and Johnson Valley zones, and portions of the Banning Pass under bad air quality.

Air Quality Alert (AQA) – An Air Quality Alert is issued when a fire’s smoke is settling into an area where people with breathing problems could be in danger. If this alert is issued, make sure your loved ones are safe.
