SigAlert Issued After Big Rig Loses Its Load On 60 Freeway In Beaumont

BEAUMONT, CA — A SigAlert crash Saturday morning on eastbound state Route 60 at Jack Rabbit Trail was delaying traffic through Beaumont.

The crash was reported at approximately 7:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol log.

The log states that a big rig spilled its load on the freeway causing several vehicles to swerve. One vehicle reportedly went over the side of the freeway and injuries were reported.

First responders were on scene.

At least one lane was closed and eastbound traffic was backed up to Gilman Springs Road.

At 8:05 a.m., the CHP reported that a SigAlert was in place for "an unknown duration" of time.

Friday night, one person was injured in a crash near the area on the westbound side of the freeway. Read more here.
