Sleeping Woman Killed As Car Crashes Into Her RivCo Home: Police
Sheriff's officials say the woman was pinned underneath a vehicle that crashed into her bedroom early Monday.

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A woman is dead following a tragic, freak collision into her home, sheriff's officials report. The deadly incident happened early Monday morning when a car crashed into her bedroom and landed on top of her.
At around 5:20 a.m., police were called to the scene in the 16000 block of Lake Victoria Drive, which is near North Perris and Harley Knox boulevards. Officials believe that the Ford Mustang was headed eastbound on Superior Avenue — and failed to turn at a stop sign, slamming into the house at the end of the street.
"The vehicle crashed into a bedroom, trapping a victim underneath the vehicle," said sheriff's Sgt. Tony Hoxmeier. "The victim suffered multiple traumatic injuries and passed away at the scene."

ABC7 reports that the woman was sleeping in a bedroom that's at the front of the house at the time of the wreck. Images showed the Mustang wedged nearly all the way into that room.
It's not clear what prompted the crash, but Hoxmeier said that investigators do not believe it is DUI-related.
