Steve Melhman doesn't want Fraud Investigated when it affects his pocketbook
Steve Melhman , former communication director for UDW Homecare Providers Union sticks up for his union even when crimes have been committed.

Lloyd White’s Very Best Friend Steve Mehlman would want us to think that he supports getting rid of corruption and crime in local and state government. He continually attacks me for defending the former City Administration and wanting the truth brought out on the charges pending in court. Every time I ask a question or provide some documentation that the information provided to the District Attorney may be wrong and part of a conspiracy he puts me down for wanting the truth. I searched the internet today and I found some interesting articles that he wrote and one that he comment on. Here are the links and the information.
In an article written by Steve Mehlman some years ago when he was the communication director for the UDW Homecare Providers Union, Melhman criticized the Sacramento County District Attorney Jan Scully is publicizing the exploits of her own “fraud squad” in the struggle against what she claims is “massive fraud” in the In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program. In a breathless announcement to the County Board of Supervisors, Ms. Scully’s team proclaimed that her anti-fraud Task Force has been responsible for criminal cases against 60 defendants for about $780,000 in fraud in the past year. “There are many opportunities for fraud in this program,” declared Deputy D.A. Laura West. She claimed that the Task Force, as well as other factors, has helped save the county about $1.1 million in local funds.
Wow the same guy, who is claiming that the previous city administration stole 43 million dollars, is opposed to an investigation that made 60 criminals responsible for the money they stole through defrauding the taxpayers. Take a look at the link below and you will see some more articles written by Steve Melhman, blaming the Republican Governor at that time and other county agencies throughout California for trying to reel in the fraud that has been committed by some of his Union Members. Remember this Union is paid entirely by government funding. It the taxpayers money, they have right to investigate Mr. Melhman.

In another article in the San Diego Union Tribune, Melhman runs down the county Grand Jury and the Board of Supervisors who are trying to rein in corruption and crime in this service. Apparently Mr. Melhman has a problem with the county investigating his Union Members who may be doing criminal activity. I guess he was concerned that if they fire them and put them in jail, he won’t have as many union dues to collect so he wouldn’t have a job. Check it out. These are the facts in, Melhman’s own words.
