Student Hit, Hospitalized In Beaumont: Police
Police say a student was transported to the hospital Monday afternoon.

BEAUMONT, CA — A Beaumont student was hit by a vehicle on Monday afternoon, police confirm to Patch. The student, whose age and gender were not disclosed, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The incident was reported around 3:12 p.m. in the area of Cougar Way and Beaumont Avenue. Police wrote on Facebook that they closed the westbound side of Cougar, east of Beaumont Avenue, as a result of the collision for a brief time.
"We realize that there is lots of school traffic in the area, but please avoid if possible," police said.

Later Monday evening, police said no one else was hurt in the collision.
“This investigation is ongoing, it does not appear that speed, alcohol and/or drug impairment were a factor in the collision at this time,” Beaumont police said.
