Redlands Shooting Spree Leaves 3 People Injured, Suspects Sought
Police believe the violence is gang-related.
REDLANDS, CA — A series of weekend shootings in Redlands is possibly gang-related, and the suspects remained at large, police announced Monday.
Just before 11 p.m. Sunday, the Redlands Police Department began receiving numerous calls about a drive-by shooting in the 1000 block of Carlson Avenue, the law enforcement agency reported.
At the scene, victims told police that shots were fired from a dark-colored sedan. The car's occupants allegedly flashed gang signs before driving away. Several bullet casings and bullet strikes were found, police said. No injuries were reported.

As police were investigating the incident, calls started coming in about another shooting at Delaware Avenue and Washington Street.
When police arrived at the second location, they found a crashed vehicle with numerous bullet holes.

Three people were inside the wreckage. One of the victims had a superficial gunshot wound to his head, while the driver and a second passenger had minor crash injuries, according to police.
The gunshot victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition, police said.
Prior to the shooting, the victims said they had arrived at an apartment complex at Delaware Avenue and Orange Street when a dark-colored sedan rolled up. The victims told police that the car's occupants flashed gang signs.
The victims sped off on Delaware Avenue, but the sedan followed with shots fired from it.
The violence caused the victims to crash, and the alleged suspects kept firing before fleeing south on Washington Street, according to police.
Bullet casings were found at the crash site and on Delaware Avenue, west of the apartment complex, police said.
