Sweeping Operation Begins On Highway 79 From San Jacinto To Beaumont
The operation will include alternating moving closures on the northbound and southbound SR-79.
BEAUMONT, CA — Hemet maintenance crews were scheduled to begin performing a sweeping operation on State Route 79 on Wednesday between San Jacinto and Beaumont, officials said.
According to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), the work will be underway from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
The operation will include alternating moving closures on the northbound and southbound SR-79. The lanes affected include: Center Median, #1 Lane, #2 Lane, and Right Shoulders from Ramona Expressway to 1st Street.

Caltrans reminded motorists to watch for signage alerting of upcoming maintenance and remember to reduce driving speed in and surrounding the work zone.
