Toddler Rescued from Near Drowning at Beaumont Swimming Pool

A toddler nearly drowned in a Beaumont swimming pool Saturday but was rescued by someone at the scene, according to fire officials.

Firefighters reported to a home in the 1700 block of Lakeside Avenue at 9:26 a.m, said Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department.

The boy was pulled from the home’s backyard swimming pool and CPR was performed by a civilian at the scene, said Hagemann.

The boy was awake and alert when firefighters arrived, Hagemann said.

He was taken to a hospital in stable condition for further treatment.
