Tonight We Take The First Step

At tonight's City Council Meeting, the property owners of Stetson, also known as  Community Facilities District 93-1 Improvement Area 18, take the first step to gaining control of our Special Tax Assessment, Mello-Roos fees.

I will be submitting petitions signed by 95 of Stetson's 195 property owners to request the Beaumont Finance Authority (BFA) adopt a Resolution of Consideration, "a procedure for amending the package of powers that have been conferred on the local legislative body (the BFA)." These signatures represent 48% of the property owners in Community Facilities District 93-1 Improvement Area 18, almost twice the number of signatures required by law to make this request.
